The Ask

Sixt is a century-old car rental company, that is still run by the Sixt family. While a mega player in Europe, the company struggled with brand awareness and recognition stateside. For this reason, we decided to tap on the US pop culture and news agenda to create a branded campaign beyond brand. Create an experience that will delight Sixt’s prospect customers and turn them into fans.

The Big Idea

We created a frenzy of themed micro content featuring opposing football team coaches covertly communicating behind their playsheets, with an irreverent and fun concept that plays around the bad lip-reading trend. The resulting concept came in the form of 8 snack-sized content pieces that pay tribute to the annual culmination of America’s favorite sport. In addition to that, audiovisual bites from the aforementioned videos came handy during the day of the game for a reactive Twitter-led activation to engage with our follower base and beyond.
